Use this sheet to edit the system languages and the default languages.
Learn more about languages.
The system languages are used to create the language lists that are shown whenever a language should be selected. By default the program contains all known locales of the most recent Windows operating system. You can add your own items using this sheet. The system languages contains a three level tree where the top level items are languages, second level items are countries where the language is spoken, and the optional third contains variants of the language.
The tree contains both standard items and custom items. Standard items are the items known by Sisulizer and/or your operating system. Custom items are items that you have added.
When clicking either System Language dialog box, System Country dialog box or System Variant dialog box will appear. If the selected item is a standard one you can only view the properties. You can not change them. If the selected item is a custom one the dialog can be used to change the properties of the selected language, country or variant.
Click Remove to delete the selected language or locale.
Click Remove All to remove all custom items from the system language tree.
Click Add main to add a new language. System Language dialog box will appear. Set the values and press OK.
Click Add sub to add a new country to the selected language. System Country dialog box will appear. All Set the values and press OK.
Click Add sub to add a new variant to the selected language or country. System Variant dialog box will appear. Set the values and press OK.
Click Export to export languages and locales to the selected file using the Sisulizer language file format (.sll). This is an XML file that contains all languages and locales.
Click Import to import language and locale information. The application can import data from the following file formats:
Extension | Description |
---|---|
.sll | Sisulizer language file |
Click the right arrow to add the selected system language or locale to the default language list.
Select the default original language of the source. Leave this to Select each time if you want to want to use the default language but want to select the original language each item you add a new source.
If checked Sisulizer tries to detect the original language automatically from the source file.
Use this page to set the default languages for the project. The default languages will be automatically added to every new project created. Add the languages that you most often use to the Selected languages list.
Some languages are spoken on several countries, some other only in one country. For example English is spoken in UK, USA, Australia, Canada, etc. Japanese on the other hand is used only in Japan. Those languages that are used in several countries have sub languages. A sub language is a combination of language and country. For example English (United States) is English in USA.
Sisulizer uses language combo boxes and tree views. If this check box is checked Sisulizer adds also sub languages for those languages that only have one sub languages. When this check box is checked the language list contains both Japanese and Japanese (Japan). When this check box is unchecked the list contains only Japanese. In both cases both English and all its sub languages are added.
